This is one of the longest tours of our tour itineraries. On this tour you will visit 8 aimags of Mongolia and a lot of soums of these aimags and enjoy all basic natural zones: High Mountain Zone, Taiga Zone, Forest Steppe Zone, Steppe Zone and Desert Zone, meet many people of different kind of ethnic groups such as Khalkh, Kazakh, Durvud, Bayad, Zakhchin, Uriankhai, Torguud, Uuld, Khoton and Myangad and introduce to their living lifestyle. Every aimag has its own unique and spectacular sightseeing places, beautiful mountains and lakes, vast steppes and flourishing monasteries.
Our travel will start from southern aimag of Tuv then pass Dundgobi, Umnugobi aimags. You can see famous Yoliin Am /Vulture Valley/ and Khongoriin Els sand dune in Gobi Gurvan Saikhan Mountain, strictly protected area /it means Three Beauties of Gobi/ in Umnugobi aimag, “B” zone of Great Gobi Strictly Protected Area in Gobi-Altai aimag, beautiful mountains and lakes in Bayan-Ulgii, Khovd and Uvs aimags. On the way back to Ulaanbaatar you will visit the ancient capital city of Kharkhorin and Erdene Zuu, biggest Buddhist monastery.
You can enjoy the real wonders of pristine nature and virgin land of Mongolia on this tour.
Day 1. Ulaanbaatar city
Meet and transfer to the hotel. After lunch visit Gandantegchilen Monastery (attend the daily religious chanting events of the monastery monks) and Natural History Museum (you can see skeletons and fossils of giant dinosaurs which were in Mongolia and endangered species of animal and plants. Then you will walk around the Sukhbaatar Square and drive to the Zaisan Tolgoi Memorial where you can see the whole city.

Day 2. Ulaanbaatar city – Gobi-Ugtaal soum/Dundgobi aimag
After breakfast set off the travel. Passing Zuunmod town of Tuv aimag you will see Eej rock /Mother rock/ which is located in the territory of Sergelen soum. Mongolians consider the rock as it makes any wish to come true and this rock has been worshipped for a long time. This is 2 m high granite rock and it is under the public protection. Then we will continue our travel to Ikh Gazriin Chuluu, which is very similar to the Great Canyon of America. Overnight stay there in tent.

Day 3. Gobi-Ugtaal soum/Dundgobi aimag – Tsogt Ovoo soum/Umnugobi aimag
After breakfast drive to Umnugobi aimag. Viewing the junction from Steppe zone to Gobi-Desert zone you will reach the Caves of Khevtee Bosoo and Tsagaan Chuluunii Tolgoi. Overnight stay there in tent.

Day 4. Tsogt-Ovoo soum - Yoliin Am/Vulture Valley
Today’s our travel destination is Yoliin Am, located in Gobi Gurvan Saikhan protected mountain one of the most attractive sites of Mongolia. Overnight stay there in tourist camp.

Day 5. Yoliin Am – Khongoriin Els Sand Dune
After breakfast continue travel to the beautiful sites of Gobi such as Khongoriin Els, River of Khongor. Overnight stay there in tourist camp.

Day 6. Khongoriin Els – Gurvantes soum/Umnugobi aimag
Today we will pass Sevrei and Noyon soums of Umnugobi aimag and reach Gurvantes soum. Overnight stay in tent in Gurvantes soum. In Noyon soum you will enjoy the sightseeing places such as Noyon Mountain /2403 m high extinct volcano/ and Toli Khad (mirror rock).

Day 7 Gurvantes soum/Umnugobi aimag – Ekhin Gol /Bayankhongor aimag
After breakfast continue travel to Ekhiin Gol sightseeing place of Bayankhongor aimag. It is said that this desert area is the hottest point of Mongolia. Overnight stay there in tent.

Day 8. Ekhiin Gol/Bayankhongor aimag – Eej Khairkhan Mountain/Gobi-Altai aimag
After breakfast set off from Ekhiin Gol to 2275 m high mountain Eej Khairkhain/mother mountain/ which is located in the territory of Tsogt soum, Gobi-Altai aimag. This ancient stone massif /Eej Khairkhan/ that rises from the desert floor resembles a prone woman and is sacred to the local people. There are 7 kettles in Eej Khairkhan and you can see how the water from the mountain flows from one kettle to another one. As well as you can view ibex, khulan and gazelle, or even find the tracks of snow leopard and you may visit its beautiful natural stone pools, petroglyphs and lama’s /monk/ secret cave in this mountain. Day 9,10. Eej Khairkhan mountain – Takhiin Tal, “B” zone of Graet Gobi Strictly Protected Area
Drive to Takhiin Tal /Takhi Steppe/ where the Takhis /wild horses/ are being reintroduced to the wild nature. You will stay in this protected area for 2 days viewing Takhis which are an endangered species not only in Mongolia but also in the world, black tailed and Mongolian antelope, large herds of wild ass and goitered gazelle.
When you are exploring the places you can meet the local olds and converse about the memories, myths about the Takhis.

Day 11. Takhiin Tal – Ikh Baga Ulaan Davaa/ Khovd aimag
Today we will see off the workers of “Takhi” project drive to Ikh Baga Ulaan Davaa /mountain pass/ of 4204 m high Munkhkhairkhan Mountain that is located in the area of Khovd aimag. On the way you can enjoy the sightseeing places of Uyench and Bodonchiin Khavtsal. Overnight stay there in tent.

Day 12. Ikh Baga Ulaan Davaa - Khar Us Lake/Khovd aimag
After breakfast we will drive to Khar Us Lake / black water lake/, the second-largest fresh water lake and one of the protected areas of Mongolia. On the way to Khar Us Lake you will visit Gurvan Tsenkheriin Cave only one cave in Asia that has historical memories. The caves are located in Mankhan soum, Khovd aimag. According to the researchers this cave is the ancient historical caves and there are tracks of living ancient people 40000 years ago. There are many rock paintings on walls of the caves. Overnight stay in tent.

Day 13. Khar-Us Lake – Tolbo soum/Bayan-Ulgii aimag
Today we will head to Tolbo soum, Bayan-Ulgii aimag. On the way we will visit the center of Khovd aimag and Sangiin Kherem /Manchu Ruins/. Khovd town was once used as the center of western five aimags. On the north end of the town are some rapidly disappearing ruins built by the Manchu (Qing dynasty) warlords. The compound was built around 1762 and abandoned in 1911. Then drive to the mountain of 4195 m high Tsambagarav, one of the most beautiful snow-clad peaks in Mongolia. This mountain is located in Bayannuur soum, Bayan-Ulgii aimag. Overnight stay in tent near Tolbo Lake in Tolbo soum. There you can introduce to the Kazakh nation’s lifestyle and Kazakh hunters who use trained eagles to hunt foxes and rabbits.

Day 14. Tolbo soum/Bayan-Ulgii – Khovd soum/Uvs aimag
After breakfast head to Khovd soum of Uvs aimag passing Ulgii town, center of Bayan-Ulgii aimag. Then drive to Khovd soum, Uvs aimag. You can see a 17 m high waterfall named Goojuur. You can enjoy the landscapes and rock formations near the waterfall. Overnight stay there in tent.

Day 15. Khovd soum/Uvs aimag – Ulaangom town/Uvs aimag – Kharkhiraa Resort
Today we will drive to Kharkhiraa Resort that is located among the Kharkhiraa Turgenii Mountains passing Ulaangom town, center of Uvs aimag. Overnight stay in tent near the resort.

Day 16. Kharkhiraa – Uvs Lake
After breakfast we will drive to Uvs Lake. On the way we will pass Ulaangom town again. One of the most unexpected sights in Mongolia, Uvs Nuur is a gigantic inland sea in the middle of the desert. The lake’s surface occupies 3423 sq km, making it Mongolia’s largest lake. We will stay in tent on the bank of Uvs Lake for the night.

Day 17. Uvs Lake – Songino soum/Zavkhan aimag
In the mo0nrning we will set off from Uvs Lake to Songino soum of Zavkhan aimag. On the we will pass Zuungobi soum to enjoy sand dunes such as Buurug Deliin Els and Altan Els. Overnight stay in tent in Songino soum.

Day 18. Songino soum – Khongor village
Today we will reach Khongor village passing Ikh-Uul soum. We will drive via the mountainous region. Overnight stay in tent near this village.

Day 19. Khongor village – Tariat soum/Arkhangai aimag
Today we will pass Solongot mountain pass, one of the biggest mountain passes. Our destination is Khorgo volcano. En route we will enjoy a beautiful lake of Terkhiin Tsagaan and Khorgo volcano crater. Overnight stay in tourist camp.

Day 20. Tariat soum/Arkhangai aimag – Tsenkher hot spring
Today we will stay in tent near Tsenkher hot spring for the night. On the way we will enjoy very beautiful river of Chuluut passing the tree with hundred branches. This astonishing river flows along the canal in ground. Also we will pass 14 m high rock called Taikhar.

Day 21. Tsenkher hot spring – Elsen Tasarkhai
After breakfast set off from Tsenkher hot spring to Elsen Tasarkhai /part of sand/ passing Khotont soum of Arkhaingai aimag. On the way you will visit ancient capital city of Kharkhorin and Erdene Zuu, the biggest Buddhist monastery. Overnight stay there in tent.

Day 22. Elsen Tasarkhai – Yusun Zurai/Tuv aimag
Today we will reach the guest ger of MTE Company that is located in Yusun Zurai of Tuv aimag. Overnight stay in guest ger.

Day 23.Yusun Zurai/ Tuv aimag - Ulaanbaatar city
This day you can buy souvenirs as your travel memory. In the evening ‘’ MTE ‘’ company will have dinner with you hearing your opinion and proposals about the travel, discuss with an ethnologist about the Mongolian history culture and tradition and see off you.
